We added photos of Becki & Michael Urie performing in IS Broadway at Feinstein’s  in New York City on February 21, 2010. Due to high demand for tickets, the pair performed two shows last night! In a shameless attempt to land jobs on Broadway, the “Ugly Betty” stars donned not-so-well-fitting masks of musical cabaret geniusness in a misguided quest to go from secondary TV actors to bona fide Broadway stars. Their attempt to take The Great White Way by storm, which featured the direction (baby sitting) of Lance Horne, took place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue). We added 39 high&medium quality photos to the Gallery!

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Becki will be starring in a new NBC dramedy called Love Bites.  She was given the part of Annie, a social worker and virgin, who’s also a hopeless romantic. Sources say that Love Bites will be some sort of anthology pilot, lasting for an hour.  Each episode will consist of three different but related views on love, sex and relationships.  That covers marriage and dating as well, which isn’t a surprise.  It’s from Cindy Chupack, known for her acclaimed work on Sex and the City. Ugly Betty star Becki Newton will supposedly be appearing in just the first episode of the upcoming series, but there’s still no final word on that.  Read more?

Additional performers have been announced for the annual Broadway Backwards concert — featuring male singers performing songs traditionally sung by women and women singing tunes written for men — which will be presented Feb. 22 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Stage and screen star Florence Henderson — best known for her role as TV mom Carol Brady on “The Brady Bunch” — will host the concert.
Newly added performers to the evening include Tituss Burgess (Guys and Dolls, The Little Mermaid), Mario Cantone (”Sex and the City,” Laugh Whore), Raul Esparza (Speed-the-Plow, Company), Becki Newton (ABC’s “Ugly Betty,” Girl Crazy at Encores!) and Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline, or Change; Jelly’s Last Jam).
These artists join the previously announced Gary Beach, Len Cariou, Tony Goldwyn, Aaron Lazar, Michele Lee and Julia Murney. Co-creator Robert Bartley will direct with musical direction by Wayne Barker. The upcoming concert will benefit both Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and New York’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Community Center. Tickets are now on sale by visiting www.broadwaycares.org.
